Christian Newby (Print)
These prints play with the constituent parts of the image of this object. The rugs rendered in as simple a way as one can by way of twisting and ruffling it into new shapes and configurations. The colours are removed and redistributed as a kind of abstract field and the still life as a whole is left flattened and formally compressed.
